  Are you looking to settle in Bullitt County? I would ask that you look at the decisions the Planning and Zoning Board has has made over the past few years. I am willing to bet you will reconsider when you see what is happening here. I believe they do not want to attract well educated high income families to the area. They want to keep it to their own. They have consistently allowed cases to be approved without considering the ramifications of their actions. They have allowed dog kennels to be erected in residential areas without even placing one limitation on the business. I believe Jefferson County Planning far exceeds the Bullitt County board in making wise, well thought out decisions. A good example of this is: behind the backs of planning and zoning, or building regulations a dog kennel has been erected in our residential neighborhood. Without any limitations, this kennel will grow and expand until it become so offensive the county will have to do something. Jefferson county however, has very well defined rules and regulations. Dogs are not allowed to be chained outside in Jefferson county, where Bullitt County officials will allow 30 dogs to be caged and piled upon each other urinate and defecate on the other. Shame on you! I also believe the board feels anyone should be able to do whatever they wish with their land. It is the "good old boy" mentality. If that is the case their decision has ruined my plans on selling my land and house. Who in their right mind would buy at $250k house that has the smell and sounds of a dog kennel in their back yard? So my warning to you the buyer....stay away from the area. There are better ran counties in this state and Bullitt county is not one of them. Buy BEWARE!
